There are many, many reasons that I love my job but today is an example of why it is the greatest job ever. Having just been to have a nosey around the hot air balloon festival in Llangollen, I thought that I would take a break and have a look for a cache. It then dawned on me that there were no caches left in Llangollen as I got them all during the 2016 mega. Luckily we still had time and so we went to the horse shoe pass for a little refreshment and the stunning view. A little look on my phone and hey presto, a cache was right there.

With the afternoon off we decided to grab some caches. Into the SatSTU - mobile and away. This was the start of a 4 hour walk for 21 caches in a little over 6.5 miles.

Having failed to find the cache BD3 which the TB owner is FTF on, I moved on (begrudgingly) to this cache. Thankfully I found it relatively quickly and so took the opportunity to dip this for mileage. Not long now until the fire truck and sheep go on holiday. ;-).

I had some time to play with as I'd been allowed to go to work late because of giving blood. This was kind of on my way to work and it was just so sunny. Took a little finding but got there in the end so I'm able to dip this for some ore miles.

After a busy couple of weeks for this series due to the Pirate Mania 9 Mega, Katie Kiwi and I decided to give it a little TLC by doing a maintenance run. All caches and logs repaired or replace as necessary.
I also have taken the opportunity to bring this TB back home to Shropshire before going on to bigger and better/further things.

After 2 days of 'power' caching where we walked around 40 miles over 18 odd hours for 170 caches, we decided that it was time to use the hand basin of our hotel for it's real job of being the fridge for some well deserved beers. If anyone reading this gets the opportunity of a couple of days for hardcore caching, then the Bike or Hike series is a brilliant place to do this. Also (for those local to Shropshire, England) the SFE 'Something For Everyone' series in and around Whitchurch is a brilliant numbers trail too.
