This Travel Bug wants to stay in the mountains on the trails maintained by the heros it salutes. It has 6 silver bullets to scare off any harm.

About This Item

I have had the pleasure of working with the people and animals that maintain the trails of Southern California. All of them are volunteers dedicated to keeping hundreds of miles of trails open, clear, repaired and hikeable. Over time I have heard the many stories of injury and death to people and animals during the course of fixing fallen trees, landslides and boulders that have blocked the trails.

Let this travel bug act as a roaming reminder to all that the trails you hike come at a price. Without a thought these volunteers risk life and limb to keep the rest of us moving through the beauty of nature.

Remember, don't cut switchbacks. Ride mountain bikes responsibly. Put Geo-caches in locations that respect the trail and the vegitation. If you would like to volunteer to work on a trail contact one of these groups:
