The mission of this bug is to travel the world from cache to cache, and revisit the places I served while I was in the US Navy.
This trackable is a challenge coin from Patrol Squadron Five Chief's Mess. One side has a depiction of the Squadron's Unit Insignia, while the other side has three anchors depicting the top three enlisted ranks in the Navy. Patrol Squadron Five has a rich history of maritime patrol flying P-2 Neptunes, P-3 Orions, and recently transitioning to the P-8 Poseidon. I served on board this squadron as a Naval Aircrewman from July 2001-September 2005, completing 3 deployments and countless combat missions after 9-11.
