Another day adventuring. We had a soccer game this morning. Can you believe they changed the name to football – crazy. We were supposed to be volunteering on the BBQ but the coach let us off as there were ample volunteers. That was nice. We went home, literally just up the road, and grabbed our water bottles and set off to the town of Wilton to locate more of the WLS series aka Wollongong Lighthouse Series which is a nice GeoArt lighthouse.
Our first cache for today was one that we had to DNF on our last trip. It has been replaced and as we found it and signed our names in the log we were able to change the frown to a smile – excellent.

A spontaneous trip over to this cache after a little lunch was a welcome smiley and a chance to tick off this Mystery Cache that I solved 3.5 years ago and never quite got to Ingleburn to find. Sadly it has not been found in a lot of months and someone managed to find it and had strewn it everywhere. I gathered the dirty and soaking wet contents together, logged my name in the wet book and packed it away in its hiding hole. Unfortunately I was unable to offer any maintenance as I wasn’t carrying any gear but advised the owner of this caches condition.

Third cache of the day – found caches that is, although I didn’t find this cache, in fact, it was a Did not attempt. Being a rural country cacher coming to the cramped confines of suburbia you notice things that others don’t. That being that this location stunk awful, and it wasn’t because there was a garbage dump nearby or some other offensive smelling place. It just stunk and was what I call ‘city dirty’ which I won’t explain here. So I chose to not attempt this one which also meant crawling under a building. I’ll bring the kids in fumigation suits next time. 😛

After finding some 20 litre barrels on the internet we took a 1.5 hour trip to the southern suburbs of Sydney to pick up some up. I have cache ideas for them. Following that I thought I would go and cache the “.. .. of many” series; The .. .. being a number like one, two, three etc Unfortunately there was no parking available for this series, but we got an idea of what we were in for, either walking or cycling – oh well another day then.
This cache was in a lovely little park and was an easy find on a metal fence.

Sure was a poor croaky little group tonight. I should have bought some lily pads and we could have had another little gathering over by the creek, played a little hopscotch and croacked to the tune of the frogs go out on a winters night uh hum, uh hum. All humour aside, it was a good night.
