About This Item

In 1968, while on tour in Vietnam, I found a US Army medal hanging from a tree branch along a remote trail. This was in the Central Highlands near Pleiku. In hindsight, it was almost like finding today's geocaches. I have no idea how the medal got there, (expert rifle), it is usually worn on a "Class A" uniform which was seldom seen in Nam. After 30 years of setting in my desk drawer, its time for it to see some of the world. Thus, it is now attached to a travel bug.

In memory of our brave warriors then and now.

    This must be one of the most "catching" TB:s (or what it rightfully can be called) that I ever have come across during my "caching career". I can really see it in front of me, all the caos and turmoil and a medal accidently come off and get stuck on a tree branch. So much pain, so much effort, so much suffering for all people in these wars, on both sides..... Why must it be so? Will we ever learn?

    Anyway, the TB will be placed in a new geocache soon.
