About This Item

Appalachian Trail geocoin, redone

This is a replacement for my Geocoin for Grandma, which is missing.  

This consists of a photocopy of the coin's image, along with two metal washers glued inside a coin capsule to give it a nice weight and feel.  I regret that it is a poor representation of the brilliant colors and craftsmanship of the original.  

This is one of a pair of geocoins that my children sent out from Oregon in hopes they'd reach their grandmother in West Virginia.  Both are missing.  I still hope the originals show up some day, perhaps with tales of grand adventures.
