A sister whom we introduced to geocaching in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, gave us Freddie to use as a travel bug. He's a little clicker and we'd like to see hi click his way 'round the world.

    After leaving the presidential palace we headed out of town to visit a large statue of the Virgin Mary. Ecuador is predominately a Catholic nation and there are churches and shrines everywhere.

    • Be very quiet Freddie There is a very large snake at the feet of the statue and I think it consumes frogs. Don't be clicking now!
    • Statue View Overlooking Quito the view was quite spectacular. I would have liked to seen it at night but this is a dangerous place after dark.

    Attended the Spring Forward Geo-meet today and met up with a new traveling companion, Kieshya, The Traveling Pup. We hit it off and decided to go on an extended journey together. We will be on the road for about a month with at most one logged visit. Where we are going has very limited internet access and very few caches but lots of potential for some excellent pictures. Let the adventure begin/continue.

    • Freddie meets Kieshya Freddie is on a mission alongside Kieshya. They are not happy that they don't know for sure where they are traveling next. To tease them a bit more, they will be closer to the Sun than most people on Earth and they may see some penguins.
