To be discovered and shared along SocksAndAmanda's travels on the Jasmer Quest 2019
This handmade journal is going to be traveling with SocksAndAmanda as they venture out with the Jasmer Quest 2019 crew.
The "leather" cover was made from a brown paper bag, covered with crayon and marker, soaked in water and then dried in the oven. The front cover is adorned with the Triquetra or the Trinity Knot. Triquetra is a Latin word, meaning “triangular” or “three-cornered.” In its purest form, the triquetra is three interconnected ovals — one pointing upward, the other two pointing down, to the left and right.
Opening the front cover reveals "Socks & Amanda" along with the infinity sign. It is meant to show our love and appreciation for one another. You'll also notice one of the Geocaching logo's inside.
Flip the cover once more and you'll be greeted with a Latin phrase. It reads "Sic semper erat, Et sic semper erit." This phrase translates to "Thus has it always been, and thus shall it ever be." There are also multiple infinity loops inside this cover as well to emphasize the idea of Geocaching forever. There is another Triquetra located beneath the papers of the journal. Two more symbols are located on the back outside corner.
This journal will be filled with the many adventures that the crew will go on. By the end of the trip it should be overflowing with wild stories and fun memories!
