Nola began her journey in May 2007 in southwestern Pennsylvania, USA.
-
As of October 2015, she has traveled over 37,000 miles.

Her most southern placement was at the cape of South Africa.

Her most northern placement was near Ilulissat, Greenland.
We were fairly new to Geocaching in 2007 when we placed this travel bug. When we did so, I had visions of a trip across the United States, maybe through Canada, with the eventual hopes of reaching the state of Alaska, USA. Never had I imagined that our little travel bug would survive in the wild for so long or travel so far!
When we put this travel bug out, our eldest child was not even in school yet, and the youngest rode in her stroller as we made our way to the cache. Soon they will both be teenagers, and in a few years more, they will also go out into the world to make their own travels.
Ultimately, I would love to see Nola return to a cache near her original starting point in southwestern Pennsylvania. It does not have to happen in a hurry. It would be fun to see just how many more places she could visit as she makes her way back home.
Please take good care of her. It's not often that a travel bug manages to survive for so long. And thank you to all who have made her journey possible, and brought so many wonderful places in the world to life though her travels.
