Current Goal

I'd like to visit my friend Karen. She's Australian but lives in Lethbridge, Canada. She loves animals so any visits to animal related caches along the way would be much appreciated! I like photos too please.

About This Item

A cachekinz brown Echidna on a silver backing. You might think it's a porcupine or hedgehog but since I'm Australian, I'm calling it an Echidna.

Day 16 on the Thames Path. Filling in this gap that I missed in October. Today is Wallingford to Reading - 25 km in beautiful walking weather. I'm being joined by CuteOtter and Geocach_pro. ๐ŸŒค

Back in Wallingford. We crossed the Thames to Crowmarsh, the home of Jethro Tull - the inventor of the seed drill, not the band. After accidently walking past a clue on a multi, we detoured to this cache up a pretty country lane. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŒพ

Back in Ham for CuteOtter to play football in 25 celcius. The open spaces along the Thames here are looking gorgeous. The bluebells are out. Nice tree climb cache here. ๐ŸŒณ

Visited 4/6/2017 Wombatwandering took it to Whisky Galore (S London) London, United Kingdom - 3.3 miles  Visit Log

Made it to Greenwich and the end of Day 15. Greenwich is a jumping place on this beautiful afternoon. We were hoping to get the ferry back to London but we would have had to wait an hour for the first available boat. โ›ด

Back in The UK and it's a beautiful spring day in London. The flowers are all out. You've joined me on Day 15 of my Thames Path hike. It's a national long distance trail from the headwaters of the Thames to the Thames Barrier near the sea. Today is London Bridge to Greenwich. ๐ŸŒท

This is the last cache I'm logging in Rome and its in a beautiful spot in a little island in the Tiber River. The bridge to it, the Ponte Fabricio, is the oldest bridge in Rome existing in its original state (62bc). Heavy thunderstorms for the marathon in Rome today. Poor runners. Bye Rome, loved being here but your caches are too small for TBs.

Visited 4/1/2017 Wombatwandering took it to Arco di Costantino Lazio, Italy - .57 miles  Visit Log

Busy day, our twice confirmed booking to the Colosseum Underground tour turned out to not exist but due to a miracle of Italian bureaucracy, new booking were found for a bit later in the day. To fill in time, we went to the Trevi Fountain with the hordes and then to a park. Back to the Colosseum which was worth the fiasco. Found a great place for a recuperative gelato.

First up was a visit to Domus Romane, an excavated Roman house. That was very interesting, especially the how local Renaissance houses used Roman marble statues as filler for the walls. Then it was onto the Forum and Palatine. Gorgeous. A very full day topped by gelati of course.

Early morning visit to the Sistene Chapel and Vatican Museums. Walked around the walls and then past St Paul's Basilica. After lunch, we climbed the Spanish Steps and then strolled around Villa Borghese Park. Onto some gelati!

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Ciao!! Welcome to Italy. We had a busy day in Rome today visiting the Pantheon and the Capitol area then eating gelatis. Great fun but exhausting. All nano caches so far. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น
