Current Goal

The mission of this trackable is to travel the world from cache to cache, geocacher to geocacher. Meeting new and old friends along the way. In honor of it's namesake Saz2 (Ceaser Braga Jr.)

Saz2 Tribute Tb

It is with great sadness that we put this trackable out in honor of our geo-buddy Ceasar Braga Jr. (Saz2) who passed away in the late hours of November 10, 2019 from complications related to ALS. He was fearless in his pursuit of geocaches, a true reflection of how he approached his life right to the end. He actively cached up to 11/5/19 and last logged onto Geocaching.com on the day of his passing 11/10/19.

While we visited with him in the hospital on the afternoon of the 10th he was still talking about caching and upcoming events. Saz2 was a true geocacher all the way to the end. It was very tuff to beat him to a FTF (hence the reason for the FTF trackable) especially after he retired a year ago. We would challenge each other to find caches that the other could not find just to add another element of fun to the game. He started caching in November of 2013 and ended in November of 2019 and in that time he had collected 8,478 smileys (caches and events) and was always looking for a new challene to complete, Saz2 totally enjoyed the challenge of the game.

Ceasar (Saz2) you will be missed by many friends and family that you left behind. RIP

Visited a cache up by the Bolton Heritage Farm where I usually take my astrophotography pictures.

I couldn't figure out how to get the location I retrieved it from logged so I'm recording a "visit" so it'll hopefully show up on the tracker. I bet this tribute visited many places on the way to Case. It was my boyfriend and I's first time geocaching since I was in the scouts. I look forward to finding another cache to leave the tribute in so he can continue his adventure. I'm sure he would be proud that he inspired others to get outdoors.
