Current Goal

Hi, I am sure you have heard of me, so I don’t need to introduce myself. As you might have heard in the media,I have recently ended a 40+ year relationship my longtime boyfriend. Kenny and I tried to hold things together, but in the end, we both just knew our relationship was no more than a shell of what it once was.

So now that I am on my own and free for the first time since, oh, the 1960s, I have decided to travel. While I have done just about everything an independent and free-thinking single girl can do, there are still some sights in our beautiful country I have not yet seen. Each of the 50 states (and DC) has one sight or activity I have not yet seen or done, and today I am embarking on a quest to visit each state and do those things. If you can help me on my journey, please take me with you to one of my destinations, take my picture, log my journey (including my photo) at geocaching.com, and send me on my way.

About This Item

I come complete with a list of my 51 adventures, one for each state and DC. If you decide to help me on my journey, please check off what I have accomplished so I don't inadvertently go to the same place twice! Also, if you wish to contribute to my wardrobe (I am dressed for California, my home), feel to put new clothes in my bag so I am always properly dressed.

Note on January 8, 2007: I've several requests to include the list of destinations, but couldn't find it (several computers ago)...but yay! I found it today. I am adding it to the cache page for y'all, and thanks for keeping Babs going!

This TB is missing from Postmarked/ Return to Sender. Maybe someone took it and didn't log it yet??

Incredibly saddened by the disappearance of this TB so soon after my own rescue and revitalization effort. While it was well hidden, I certainly did not expect this TB to sit very long given it's uniqueness and history of being lost for 3 years. Now, it appears to have been muggled and I can't understand why a couple of the most recent discoveries did not at the very least, move it along. How sad... And yet another TB to replace, as I live by the credo of replacing anything that goes missing under my watch.

Having spent so many years on the Mend, I thought this one would move soon after discovery, after all, it doesn't have to fit "INTO" a cache, just be placed near it. Decided to grab it again tonight but amazingly there where copious muggles about and sitting on top of GZ so I had to walk away. I will try again this week.

Discovered this one while searching for a cache. Actually thought it was the cache at first glance. Good to see it's back in circulation after sitting for such a long time.

I'm having trouble figuring out how this TB got from Drainage Pond to where I found it today, only because I was scouting for places to place a new cache. Incredible that it has been sitting in this spot for neigh 3 years without discovery. When I opened the cache, the contents were more than a bit whiffy, but I am in the process of cleaning and salvaging what I can before releasing it again tomorrow for the CITO event in the park on Saturday where another cache, far more tragic that this one, is in the process of being placed. I hope your heart is well mended and I can't wait to see how you have progressed in the 3 years this cache has been delinquent. Good things happen when you give a little back to the community.
