Current Goal

Hi, I am sure you have heard of me, so I don’t need to introduce myself. As you might have heard in the media,I have recently ended a 40+ year relationship my longtime boyfriend. Kenny and I tried to hold things together, but in the end, we both just knew our relationship was no more than a shell of what it once was.

So now that I am on my own and free for the first time since, oh, the 1960s, I have decided to travel. While I have done just about everything an independent and free-thinking single girl can do, there are still some sights in our beautiful country I have not yet seen. Each of the 50 states (and DC) has one sight or activity I have not yet seen or done, and today I am embarking on a quest to visit each state and do those things. If you can help me on my journey, please take me with you to one of my destinations, take my picture, log my journey (including my photo) at geocaching.com, and send me on my way.

About This Item

I come complete with a list of my 51 adventures, one for each state and DC. If you decide to help me on my journey, please check off what I have accomplished so I don't inadvertently go to the same place twice! Also, if you wish to contribute to my wardrobe (I am dressed for California, my home), feel to put new clothes in my bag so I am always properly dressed.

Note on January 8, 2007: I've several requests to include the list of destinations, but couldn't find it (several computers ago)...but yay! I found it today. I am adding it to the cache page for y'all, and thanks for keeping Babs going!

  • Ah ... the open road! Looking at the Harley parked out in front of her hotel in Adair, Iowa, she wondered if a motorcycle trip cross-country would make her forget the wimp. Alas, it was not to be--the rain would destroy her perfect coiffure.
  • Detroit ... I can't believe I'm in Detroit. Finally, the family celebrations are over, and I'm on the move again. I'm sure that I can find something distracting in Detroit.
  • Hangin' out with my pack After helping plan and cook for a huge 50th anniversary party, she relaxes with her real friends.
  • Oh, goodie! I'm going CLOTHES SHOPPING! Michigan is much colder in September than California. This girl needs long sleeves and a jacket.

We went down to retrieve this TB from the Old Town Cache because there is just too much traffic in the area to not get stolen.

We'll find an appropriate place to put her if we can't get to an item on the list.
