I wanted to release this TB near my friend's house in Houston, Texas, and got it to travel back to me but the final cache was too small so it returned to the UK with me. The new adjusted mission is to travel back to the USA and visit as many states as it can. I'd love some photos!

Bye Ali McBee. The plan was to leave you in the USA but I couldn't find a cache for you at the end. Probably lucky as I left 3 TBs and two have already disappeared. So depressing. So I'm leaving you here in busy London just near Tower Bridge. I'm walking the Thames Path, a national long distance trail. Today in Day 15 and it's a gorgeous sunny day. Good luck getting back to the USA.

This is the last cache I'm logging in Rome and its in a beautiful spot in a little island in the Tiber River. The bridge to it, the Ponte Fabricio, is the oldest bridge in Rome existing in its original state (62bc). Heavy thunderstorms for the marathon in Rome today. Poor runners. Bye Rome, loved being here but your caches are too small for TBs.

Busy day, our twice confirmed booking to the Colosseum Underground tour turned out to not exist but due to a miracle of Italian bureaucracy, new booking for found for a bit later in the day. To fill in time, we went to the Trevi Fountain with the hoards and then to a park. Back to the Colosseum which was worth the fiasco. Found a great place for a recuperative gelato.

First up was a visit to Domus Romane, an excavated Roman house. That was very interesting, especially the how local Renaissance houses used Roman marble statues as filler for the walls. Then it was onto the Forum and Palatine. Gorgeous. A very full day topped by gelati of course.

Early morning visit to the Sistene Chapel and Vatican Museums. Walked around the walls and then past St Paul's Basilica. After lunch, we climbed the Spanish Steps and then strolled around Villa Borghese Park. Onto some gelati!

It's a lovely day in London today. I should be walking the Thames Path but I couldn't organise myself in time. Instead, I've taken you to Clapham Common. Just nearby was where I stayed with friends on my first ever trip to London 17 years ago. I've not been back to Clapham since (apart from the station). Lovely daffodils. ☀️
