Berti

Berti took part in the Race through America 2004 which ended on July 4th 2005. Berti visited (visit means: was dropped into a cache in this state) 29 states in the given time frame, and won the race!
Afterwards Berti spent some time with us in Germany, but once in a while (whenever he finds nice travel companions) he will go to the US and visit some more states.

We would like to thank all geocachers who helped Berti on his journey and wrote so many nice logs and added pictures!

In Germany, Berti is well known as he appears several times a day on ZDF, one of the main television networks. He and his friends Anton, Conni, Det, Edi and Fritzchen, who are called the "Mainzelmännchen" (as the network is based in Mainz) show up in short funny trailers between the commercials.
