Molly figurines

are the hommage to the French artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930 -2002) and her most popular piece of art "The Nanas".

 

Three of her colourful and voluminous "Nanas" were placed in Hannover in 1974, on the bank of the Leine river. Since 2002, Niki de Saint Phalle has been an honorary citizen of Hannover. On this occassion, she donated more than 400 pieces of her art to the city.
