Current Goal

Taku's mission is to get back to the San Juan Islands. Please help him get home. He would like to be in a cache near Lime Kiln Whale Watch Park on the west side of San Juan Island.

About This Item

This travel bug is attached to a small rubber killer whale. The whale represents Taku (K-1), a real whale that has disappeared (presumed dead) from K-pod in the southern resident community of killer whales in the San Juan Islands. We want to see if Taku can make it back home. It also symbolizes a need for killer whales to be free in their home waters and not captive in concrete pools.
