Filbert Geocache....well he's an ‘anorak’, in particular a plane spotter! He devotes all his spare time visiting the observation decks of airports around the world.
Clutching a well-worn note book Filbert religiously records the registration details of any commercial aircraft he spots. Filbert also likes to collect airline memorabilia - safety demonstration cards, sick bags and luggage tags just to name a few.
It comes as no surprise Filbert is a member of just about every frequent flyer program he can sign up to! Filbert is happiest when he is flying, ensconced in an economy class seat, sipping his free beverage, racking up the frequent flyer points and recording every trivial detail of the flight in his note book!

Back in Australia again, with no further trips in store this year. So, I'm logging the card into one of my caches during a maintenance visit. I'm still hopeful of travelling to Florida in January, so the card should be in for another boost in kilometres.
Once again, the trip home was a two-leg journey. Left TPE on Cathay Pacific CX 511--an Airbus A330. My frequent flyer membership doesn't entitle me to my usual window seat, so I sat on the aisle in seat 44D. I had a 3½-hour layover in HKG before catching Qantas QF 88 to MEL, another Airbus A330. Despite being a Qantas Frequent Flyer, I had to put up with another aisle seat: 24B.

In Taipei for a couple of days on a business trip, so I'm logging the card into this cache to get credit for the kilometres.
Getting to Taipei is a two-step process: MEL to HKG, and the HKG to TPE. I took Qantas QF 83 to HKG, leaving MEL at 23:55 😮 As an unexpected bonus, I got an upgrade to Business Class, seat 1J. The plane was an Airbus A330. I was able to sleep for most of the trip. 👍 From HKG I caught Cathay Pacific CX 460 to TPE--a Boeing 777, seat 31A.

Back in Australia yet again. This time I flew from SIN to MEL on Qantas QF 10, another Boeing 747-400. My window seat was again on the starboard side of the plane: 36K.
