About This Item

In 1992 I went to Cambodia working with UNTAC (the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia). Life there was certainly interesting, with local factions still having the occasional firefight.

Life was made easier by discovering the excellent local brew, Angkor Beer. Of which many were downed over the road from our stay at the Green Hotel near the Independence Monument.

This keyring has been floating around home ever since, and it is time it went on a journey back to it's homeland. Photos of beers it finds on the way are welcome, and when (if) it reaches Cambodia a photo by the Independence Monument would be fantastic.

I am very sorry but this travel bug along with a dozen other TBs were in a swag bag that went missing in Accra, Ghana. I've been holding out hope that whomever has them will be intrigued enough to look up geocaching.com and maybe even get them back into circulation, but no luck so far. Please mark the traveler as missing using "Trackable Item Options > Actions" on the "Trackable Item Details" page. Again, I'm very sorry 😟

Received from firesafe as we met with him and his family to interview them for the PodCacher podcast on their last day here in the U.S. They hadn't found many caches bigger than micros, so had not been able to drop all their TBs and coins. We agreed to move them along.
