About This Item

In 1992 I went to Cambodia working with UNTAC (the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia). Life there was certainly interesting, with local factions still having the occasional firefight.

Life was made easier by discovering the excellent local brew, Angkor Beer. Of which many were downed over the road from our stay at the Green Hotel near the Independence Monument.

This keyring has been floating around home ever since, and it is time it went on a journey back to it's homeland. Photos of beers it finds on the way are welcome, and when (if) it reaches Cambodia a photo by the Independence Monument would be fantastic.

Found before hopping on the plane to Canberra for the National Folk Festival, where we enjoyed a few tunes, beers and wines. No pictures for proof but the bug spent some quality time in the Coopers Tent and Session Bar. We're notheading off to Cambodia any time soon but will keep the wee guy moving.
