About This Item

The SCGA Challenge Stick

Welcome to the TB page for the SCGA Challenge Stick! The overall purpose of this stick is to draw cachers to the most challenging hides on the Space Coast. As you follow the logs for this stick, you'll find that the Space Coast is bristling with caches that take you farther than you knew you could go. We fully expect this stick to acquire mud stains, blood stains, thorn scars, alligator teeth marks and other, more nefarious indicators of its travels. Hopefully you'll survive long enough to log it! When you find the SCGA Challenge Stick, give yourself a well earned pat on the back, 'cuz you dang sure earned it! Take the stick home with you and carve your caching nickname onto it, using small letters so others can "sign" it. Then hide it at another challenging Space Coast cache. If you found this stick, feel free to wander about with it as you wish, taking lots of pics along the way. However, when you go to hide it, please keep it within the Space Coast. For the purpose of this stick, the Space Coast is defined as Brevard County north, as far as Volusia County, south as far as the Stuart/Jupiter area and West as far as the Lakeland area.

Because this stick is meant to represent cachers facing rather extreme challenges, we will not be allowing any "Discovered" logs. The only people allowed to log it are those who have found it.

Thanx!

Fare thee well, SCGA Challenge Stick. It has been fun watching your travels. You have been a major player in some of the Space Coast's most awesome caches. You will be missed.

Well after holding the stick for well over a year I think my point is pretty clear. This was never the intent of the stick for cachers to hold it forever and come up with a cache that only 5 people will ever find. The idea was to be challenging not impossible. This stick is not sought after due to the types of caches it has been placed in as well as the length of time people have held it from day 1. Please respect our wishes to take this stick out of commission. Or place it in your cache that you have been working on for 4 months asap and the next finder will be the last. Either way I will take this stick out of commission on December 31st of this year. The clock is ticking.

I actually have this, didn't realize that I hadn't logged this as found, was certain that I had. It is currently in a very tough location I found soon after retrieving it from Mensa Fun by Halogens. I have been putting a ton of effort over the last 4 months designing and building puzzles worthy of its legacy as I see it (which is part of the fun on the stick as I understand it)

**Don't actually have the Tracking code on me at work so have to do this as a note

Was keeping it low key so I could publish this cache with some surprise - I haven't published a single cache since starting this process for this reason (but didn't want you to wonder any longer where it was)

Does anyone know where this stick actually is? We would like to get it back to the SCGA store and take this out of commission. It has lost its luster and needs to be retired.
