I had hoped to drop Bambam off at a cache in the Botanical Gardens.
As if to confirm my choice as I was about 100 metres away on approach I was startled by a loud squawk coming from somewhere up in the trees. I think it was most likely from a kaka. It must have been saying hi to Bambam!
Unfortunately however things didn't go according to plan.
Despite the fact that a few years ago I had found the cache and made further visits to pickup or drop off trackables, and the cache probably still being there now as it was found in the last few days I couldn't find the darn thing this time!
As a result Bambam stayed with me as we listened to the Wellington Brass Band playing in the Sound Shell as part of the Gardens Magic series.
I didn't dance to the music and I suspect Bambam was very disappointed that as a result she missed out on the opportunity to do so!
