Like the Apollo 11 mission, this geocoin has the mission to visit locations of historic note.
Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin planted an American flag on Tranquility Base on the evening of Sunday 20 July 1969. To mark 50 years since humans landed on the moon, this geocoin was produced. The flag that is magnetically attached to the back can be "planted" on the opposite side, next to the moon print. Engraved into the coin is the quote left on the plaque on the moon, "Here men from the plant Earch first set foot upon the moon. We came in peace for all mankind."
