TI joined forces with Geocaching HQ to release 3,000 trackables to help spread math love all around the world. This grand Geocaching adventure is sure to get the math love flowing. Nothing sets an arithmetic aficionado’s heart all aflutter like a good puzzle, and there’s no limit to the joy that these math buddies can bring.



Everything’s better with pi! This math buddy brings that favorite of favorite mathematical constants along for the ride, and it’s plane to see why. The love for pi is infinite, but irrational.

Now that you’ve found this "Irrational Love of Pi" math buddy, use the code on the back to log it. ABBREVIATED RULES The 2021 TI Math Love Geocaching Photo Contest is open only to U.S. residents 13 years of age or older. No purchase necessary to enter or win. You can participate by receiving or finding a TI Spread Math Love geocaching trackable game piece from Groundspeak, Inc. and submitting a photograph of it to your public Twitter or Instagram with #SpreadMathLove and #TICacheContest. During each of seven judging periods between June 1 and December 31, 2021, Texas Instruments will award one TI-84 Plus CE calculator or TI-Nspire CX II graphing calculator (7 first-place winners) and four Math Love Swag Packs (28 honorable-mention winners).

    Left Don Carter State Park and heading on after time was spent geocaching and fishing in this State Park. Delighted to find a 2008 cache on the way to Dahlonega Gold Museum.

    What a beautiful spot to be searching for a geocache! This was the last geocache for us to do in Don Carter State Park.

    Continuing on our hike along the Woodland Trail. We just visited the cute Gnome Village. Cleaned out the trash from the cache container. No people cache containers are not for trash!

    We first spotted a Great Blue Heron by the lake and then took a beautiful hike on the Woodland Trail seeing many more birds as we were led by a stream.

    After a rainy camping night, we press on to another State Park. We did change our path to hit Don Carter Park instead. Trails are obviously wet and soggy but nothing is gonna stop us on our Spring Break Camping State Park GeoTour 😅!

    We had a picnic lunch beside Rice Creek and then ventured on a hike beside it where this geocache happened to be. Next we cooled off our feet in the water... how nice and clean they feel now!
