Current Goal

Back in 2004 I was involved in a race with 3 other travel bugs. My owners, the Harmonators dropped us all off at a few sites in Europe and the race was on to see who would be the first one to make it back to Chandler, Arizona. I was the winner of that race. Now the year is 2008 and my owners have created a new race.

About This Item

I am the Arizona travel bug. I am from Chandler, Arizona. Chandler is a suburb of Phoenix which is the capital of Arizona. The metropolitan Phoenix area is home to over 1.7 million people, and is the 7th largest metropolitan area in the United States. Most people believe Arizona to be a big desert full of cactus and sand but that is not totally accurate. Arizona is also home to the largest Ponderosa pine tree forest in the world and has many mountains and 4 snow ski areas! Be sure to look me over closely as I contain interesting information about the state of Arizona! We were dropped off around South Africa during a vacation by my owners, the Harmonators during a vacation they took in late December 2008 and early January 2009. The first travel bug to make it back to any cache in Chandler, Arizona will be declared the winner! However, if you can’t get me back to the desert in Arizona, please feel free to move me to another cache. I am small enough that I hope to fit in almost any cache. My owners would also be very happy if you can take any photos of my travels and post the pictures.

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

Last June the Harmonators started a travel bug race in Germany. The winner would be the first one out of four to make it back to Chandler. Well folks, tonight we picked up the Arizona TB from this cache, so we are declaring it the winner!
Thanks to all the cachers that moved the bugs along, we are really surprised to see one could make it all the way back to AZ in less than 1 year!
We will update the goals and pages of the other TBs as soon as we can come up with a new idea.

Again, thanks to all who participated in the race and keep those TBs moving while we work on a new goal.

Found this travel bug @ Culture Shock. Will be headed back in the westerly direction and will leave it along the way. May stop by Madison, WI area before heading farther west.

  • At the Wisconsin Band Concert AZ Travel Bug attended the spring band concert at the Kohl Center April 21 in Madison WI.
  • Leinies and the Hammock AZ bug in my back yard near Madison. While we sided our garage, it relaxed with my favorite, Leinies Honey Weiss, in my hammock.
  • At the WI State Capitol Outside the Wisconsin state capitol April 24, 2005.
