Current Goal

Back in 2004 I was involved in a race with 3 other travel bugs. My owners, the Harmonators dropped us all off at a few sites in Europe and the race was on to see who would be the first one to make it back to Chandler, Arizona. I was the winner of that race. Now the year is 2008 and my owners have created a new race.

About This Item

I am the Arizona travel bug. I am from Chandler, Arizona. Chandler is a suburb of Phoenix which is the capital of Arizona. The metropolitan Phoenix area is home to over 1.7 million people, and is the 7th largest metropolitan area in the United States. Most people believe Arizona to be a big desert full of cactus and sand but that is not totally accurate. Arizona is also home to the largest Ponderosa pine tree forest in the world and has many mountains and 4 snow ski areas! Be sure to look me over closely as I contain interesting information about the state of Arizona! We were dropped off around South Africa during a vacation by my owners, the Harmonators during a vacation they took in late December 2008 and early January 2009. The first travel bug to make it back to any cache in Chandler, Arizona will be declared the winner! However, if you can’t get me back to the desert in Arizona, please feel free to move me to another cache. I am small enough that I hope to fit in almost any cache. My owners would also be very happy if you can take any photos of my travels and post the pictures.

Zoals beloofd heb ik TB Arizona vandaag in een cache vlakbij Schiphol afgeleverd. Dichterbij kon volgens mij niet. De hele dag razen er stijgende en landende vliegtuigen voorbij. Er waren al twee andere TB's in de cache die ook allebei naar bestemmingen in het (verre) buitenland willen. Het begint daar echt op een TB Airport Hotel te lijken!

As promised I placed TB Arizona in a cache close to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol today. I think it couldn't be closer. The whole day long all kinds of aeroplanes rush past, arriving or departing. I found two other TB's in this cache; like TB Arizona these two want to leave for far destinations abroad too. The cache now is a real Airport Hotel for TB's!

Vandaag TB Arizona meegenomen uit cache 'Negerslaaf'. Ik zal mijn best doen deze TB weer een stukje verder op weg te helpen naar Chandler, Arizona, door een cache voor hem te zoeken in de buurt van Luchthaven Schiphol.

Today I retrieved TB Arizona from cache 'Negerslaaf' (negro slave) near the town of Zwolle in the Netherlands. I'll do my best to get this TB a little closer to Chandler, Arizona, by finding a new cache for him as close to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol as possible.
