Having completed the first mission to get from Burton upon Trent, the site of the IWA National Festival 2004, to the 2005 event at Preston Brook, Canal Traveller was tasked with getting to the 2006 site at Beale Park.
I'm afraid canal Traveller failed in the 2006 mission and was still well north of the Thames at the end of August!
The mission for 2007 was to get to St Ives on the Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire where the 2007 National Waterways Festival was to be held.
Failed again :(!! We've decided to make Canal Traveller a continuous cruiser and give it a much more open mission. We've also replaced the plaques with photocopies to make it lighter.
Canal Traveller would like to be photographed on boats and visit lots of canals (preferably by boat). In particular, visits to rallies and festivals (with pictures) would be enjoyed.
Canal Traveller consists of copies of commemorative plaques from Inland Waterways Association National Festivals.

"A Cut Above ..." cache is now in place near NWF 2005 site. Canal Traveller would like to arrive there before the festival ends on August Bank Holiday Monday.
Can anyone help?

Change of plan!! Spike Island container is too small to take a TB so please try to get Canal Traveller to Daresbury Firs by 26th August.

We've not managed to hide a cache at the NWF 2005 site so Canal Traveller's revised mission is to get to a cache near the site before the Festival. Two possibilities are Spike Island or Daresbury Firs.

Picked this up. I have another canal cache to visit.
