Current Goal

Having completed the first mission to get from Burton upon Trent, the site of the IWA National Festival 2004, to the 2005 event at Preston Brook, Canal Traveller was tasked with getting to the 2006 site at Beale Park.

I'm afraid canal Traveller failed in the 2006 mission and was still well north of the Thames at the end of August!

The mission for 2007 was to get to St Ives on the Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire where the 2007 National Waterways Festival was to be held.

Failed again :(!! We've decided to make Canal Traveller a continuous cruiser and give it a much more open mission. We've also replaced the plaques with photocopies to make it lighter. Canal Traveller would like to be photographed on boats and visit lots of canals (preferably by boat). In particular, visits to rallies and festivals (with pictures) would be enjoyed.

We are delighted that our Canal Traveller TB has completed it's mission to travel from National Waterways Festival 2004 venue in Burton upon Trent and arrive in time for NWF 2005 at Preston Brook.

Many thanks to all who assisted Canal Traveller along the way. We'll be dropping the TB off again before we leave the festival next week. It's new mission will be to attend NWF 2006 at Beale Park on the River Thames.
