Current Goal

To travel around the US picking up regional and local music along the way and return to a cache in Nashville, TN in time for CMA Fest 2005. When it makes it back, I'll add next year's key chain and a new CD-R to keep the fun going!

About This Item

CMA Music Festivel 2004 Logo

This is a CD-R (recordable compact disc) that originated in Nashville TN following the CMA Music Fest 2004 (Fan Fair). The owner of this travel bug loves to attend regional music celebrations (NO Jazz Fest, American Music Festival, etc.) and attended CMA Fest 2004. Geocachers who pick up this travel bug are asked to add local, regional or just their favorite music in .mp3 format to the contents of the disc. You'll need access to a CD burner and instructions on how to add the music are attached to the CD.

When you drop off the bug in the next cache, leave a message as to which songs you added and any other interesting notes about the music.

I was surprised to find out I was the first person to put a song on this CD. It was completely blank when I recieved it. Now it has two mp3's on it though. There's not much local music going on where I'm currently at, so I put some of my favorite local Australian music on there. A great song by a band called Outback and an even better song by one of my favorite musicians (and an aquaintence of mine) Jeff Lang. I hope you enjoy them.

This old recording engineer has a great song or two to throw on there. Great idea for a bug.

Next stop: GeoWoodstock III, in Jacksonville, Florida!

This one is an international event with geocachers coming from all over the USA and the rest of the world and could give this cool bug a better chance of reaching its goal.

I took it from Enron Sucks, fearing that it would sit there for a while when there is only 2 months to get it to Nashville. I guess that means I need to find another cache quick, so I can release it.
