    This was an ammo can hidden under a pile of pine needles among some pine trees. It was a very good hide in a nice part of the woods.

    This was a huge park where they have balloon races every year. There was a jazz festival this weekend. We got here early in the morning so we could find parking and get to the cache before people started waking up and getting out and about. We brought, Cindy, the black lab dog so she got to run around a bit this morning. Elk do not live here, but deer wander through town from time to time.

    On this particular day, there were Fire trucks from all over which showed types of fire fighting for over 100 years. They were a great photo opportunity and nice to see how nicely people have restored these pieces of equipment. At the Liberty Engine Company cache, there was a railroad crossing with a nifty bell tower. Lots of people had stopped to take photos of the train as it passed. It had one LOUD whistle as it passed by the crossing. The train was the short distance that ran from Virginia City to Gold Hill during the mining boom.
