The last find of the day was this literal park & grab we stopped at on the way from the park. After finishing off our second walk in the nearby park and heading for a late lunch, I realized we had passed this cache on the way here and didn’t stop for it, so why not do that now! My instincts knew exactly where to look, and soon enough Laura had the container in hand. It didn’t give up without a fight, as the magnet was strong indeed!
We opened it up and I quickly realized that this might be a great place to drop a TB. Not only is it relatively a busy area, but it’s finally a container larger than a nano or bison tube; something you don’t see very often in Malaysia. Actually, come to think of it, this is the biggest container we’ve seen in nearly a month, and that meant it was time to say goodbye. We brought you here from Europe, traveled with you through three countries, and had a great time. But all nice things must come to an end, and it’s now time to say goodbye. You have a monkey keychain attached to you, so I thought this would be the nicest place to drop you off; a park full of birds and monkeys! We wish you safe travels and hope you can bounce around Asia for a while, seeing many more monkeys!! We’ve added 14 of the 15 photos in your gallery, and helped you rack up a few thousand kilometers of travel to your history.
Good luck on your travels, little guy!

Unfortunately, no find here. A second time we’ve returned to this location, and at first muggles did not make the search easy, but then even after trying some special tactics to get them away, we searched for a good 20 minutes and weren’t able to find the stash.

A second DNF avenged at this cache. When we were here just a few months ago, the nano was missing. Recently, it was replaced by the CO, so we were happy to return and make the find here!

Moving a little bit closer, we started a second walk from the same place we started our first walk when we visited this park a few months back. Today the weather was a little easier, and we were happy to find this stash. A little off its coords, but an obvious place to find the bison tube. All good here at the lake, I also quickly snapped a photo of this TB while here! What a nice walk!

Finally coming back to this park, I saw that this cache had a few new logs so it was back in play. We avenged our DNF and successfully found this tiny cache.

The final cache of the day. We had a very lovely dinner at a nearby foodhall/hawker center which was on Laura’s POI list for a while. A different kind of foodie place, this is something we looked forward to, and in the end had an absolutely great evening there. Bellies stuffed and the rain finally settling, we could head out dry and ready for bed. Since the area had three caches around, I wanted to obviously stop at all three, but Laura was tired and said we can stop at one. Righty on!
I chose this stash as the end of our evening; we parked nearby and realized that we had been here before. Just about 20 days ago, we met our friends who flew in from Myanmar at a nearby restaurant; and we actually searched for this cache. What I don’t know is why I didn’t log a DNF back then, as I’m always sure to detail our searches. Today however, we were a little more successful. After five minutes of no idea where to search, and having a DNF from about 2 hours ago on a similar overpass, thing became glum. However, reading through the logs, it was the last log which actually gave me the right few words which sparked the idea that was it. And just as that helpful comment mentioned, I very quickly uncovered the little cache. The logbook is in good condition; we inked our name into it, and headed home. What a good day this has bee, thank you for going on this afternoon trip with us!

Another DNF. These overpass caches are really tricky for us. There’s a nano hidden on a busy bridge and there’s half a million places to discreetly hide it. We’ll have to come here again! So many of these around!

One DNF in an urban jungle park behind us, we turned our attention to the cache I actually came here for. A seemingly easy cache at a little mall, we initially felt uncertain. But searching and searching, I eventually found the container. Water inside, the logsheet fell apart in my hands. Funny how paper can transform over time! But cache found, and for me this was a mission accomplished, so we’re all happy.
But, that’s not the end of Wednesday’s trip!

After work, we knew we had to head out to visit a few caches. While we kinda stopped geocaching for the random pleasure, there’s a few challenges which still keep pushing me. One of those is an everyday 5, and that pulled us out today. I had a need for a specific cache, and after work we headed that way. Unfortunately, this mystery cache was our first stop and we were unsuccessful. Long unfound, I still had hopes, but the stash seems to be gone….

Our last find of the day was this SideTracked stash. We were headed home after a great day and were technically already resigned, but as we were driving and even with my phone overheating, I could just barely see this park & grab opportunity coming up on the map. I managed to pull up just in time, and we made a stop at the parking garage. Looking around, Laura pointed me to the right place, and after a short walk, I soon got to GZ. Luckily no one around, and I easily uncovered the container. The silica bag is doing its job; the tiny logsheet is in good condition.Another cool stash we couldn’t drop a TB into; we made our find and headed home. Let’s see where the week takes us!
