About This Item

The Original Staff of Baas

See the Staff of BAAS (477200) “BY THE EMPEROR’S HAND II” is also referred to as The Headpiece of Staff of Baas. The original staff was created from the branch of a tree located in the Sanctuary of Ood, a hidden private alcove of the Jedi Archives, on the planet of Ossus. Infused with Cortsis Ore, this alchemically (v. using the process of alchemy) reinforced staff, can withstand any blow. When wielded using the power of the Force, its indestructible nature allow it to even parry lightsabers. Such staves have survived through thousands of generations and yet remain in perfect condition. The Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, a crustacean-like Jedi Master with rough, red, skin, black eyes, and pincers for hands, once wielded this staff. Thought to be the first true Jedi ever, Master Baas founded the Jedi Code 4000 years before Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. He taught during the time of the Sith War. Although legend states the staff is indestructible, The Staff of Baas was broken into two pieces during the final battle between Exar Kun and Master Baas. Exar Kun, Dark Lord of the Sith, used the power of a Sith Amulet and two lightsabers to sever the staff and destroy his former master. After being severed, the two parts were separated for fear that they would one day be re-united and used to defeat the Sith. “By the Emperor’s Hand II” is the second portion of The Staff of Baas--Length: 7.5" tall. Physical Description: Covered in Glyphs, Symbols, and Sith Lore. It was last seen hidden on the planet Wayland--inside the Emperor's Secret Storage Facility. Rebel agents stole the Headpiece of Baas and placed it in an unknown location. The Staff of Baas (By The Emperor's Hand I) is currently in the hands of the true Heir to the Empire.
