I was going up the road here to get to the "Bedrock" cache, but made an impromptu stop here. The whole family got involved in getting answers to the puzzle. Once we were confident with the answer we plugged in the coordinates and got a plausible location not too far. Thankfully not too many mosquitoes today which gave us all the time in the world to solve this one.

Went over to the final and signed the log. Placed a trackable in this cache.

Out to get one more cache before the end of the day. I could resist some yummy yummy fruit salad. I saw a small opening in the woods, and when I peered in I noticed the cache. The inside if the container was a bit wet, but things were in good condition. Signed the log. TNLN.

Can't say you've done the GCC of you don't do the first one. Parked nearby and spotted this guy popping its head out. I was running out of time, so I quickly processed the cache. Signed the log and replaced as found. Added a few trinkets here as the cache was quite empty.

Day 3 at Geocaching Capital of Canada, and hoping to not getting bit by more mosquitoes. I noticed this one on the map after my last find, and even though it wasn't on my list for today, I decided to give it a go. It doesn't look too far from the road. Can't be too bad? Wrong. It was brutal with the mosquitoes, but this time I was prepared with long sleeves and bug spray. I loved the little hike with the light drizzle here. I also enjoyed some (more) abandoned cars.

I was stumped by the field puzzle for a bit. Then it occured to me... Easy peasy!

Day 3 at the GCC. Didn't want to get destroyed by mosquitoes today, so I shortlisted some P&Gs for today. Today was also the first day the library was open during our stay here. Went here with the family. While the kids enjoyed some arts and crafts, I quickly made the find.

Day 3 at the GCC. Didn't want to get destroyed by mosquitoes today, so I shortlisted some P&Gs for today. This cache was a little ways away, but well worth the drive. This cache filled me with nostalgia. They don't make 'em like this any more :)

I did the groundwork for this cache yesterday, but couldn't find the cache at the final location. I messaged the CO asking if I had the right coordinates. They confirmed that I had the correct coordinates and said that they'd check on the cache the next day. Fast forward to this morning, I was out near GZ playing with the kids, and on a whim checked for the cache again... Guess what the cache was replaced. I checked my phone, and saw a message from the CO saying that they replaced the cache earlier this morning.

Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache Sticky Moose, and for your prompt action on this one. I signed the new log.

Well never say never. The rain cleared up for a bit, and I headed to the Foodland for some supplies. All the restaurants nearby seemed closed, so I was getting some stuff to make a quick dinner. On the way back we stopped here for a quick find. Awesome setup here. Another fave!

Last cache on this trail, and possibly the last one for the day. I could hear thunder in the distance and the sky was darkening. Possibly some real bugs in the cache too. I was able to get to the log without getting slimed.

Rushed back to the trailhead where I was parked. 300 m away from the car, it started pouring and I got a proper soak. At least there were no more bugs.

Not sure about the wolf... But the bugs were out here for blood. Glad to see the pigs were safe and sound in their house of bricks. I sure wish I could be back indoors... But one more cache!
