About This Item

This plaque was installed in 2020 by geocoins.nz to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the hiding of GC45 - the first geocache hidden outside of the US.

The plaque was unveiled on 12 May 2020, during COVID lockdown, via a live YouTube video event, exactly 20 years after GC45 was hidden way back in 2000.

The plaque is now a virtual cache, and part of The Geo Quad:
