Current Goal

Well Homer has been out moving from cache to cache for a while now. Barney misses his old drinking buddy so he decided to go out and see if he could find Homer. Barney just had enough money for a mug o beer and one travel bug tag. So he would appreciate you keeping his mug o beer full on his travels. Like Homer he attached the travel bug tag to himself and staggered to the nearest cache. Let us see if we can get these two drinking buddies back together.

About This Item

If there’s one thing Barney Gumble loves more than beer he hasn’t discovered it yet. And not for the want of trying. Hard liquor, sterno, cough syrup, turpentine, he’s tried them all. Once in a fit of desperation, he drank some non-alcoholic champagne, with near fatal consequences. But beer! Wonderful beer! Barney would kill his own brain for a beer. He’s drunk beer out of ashtrays, sucked beer out of bar rags, licked windows made of old beer bottles and realizing a dream come true, drunk straight from the tap until his heart stopped. As he’s said more than once, “If Moe’s Tavern didn’t close I’d never leave.” Well Moe has left in search of his drinking buddy homer. It was a very hard thing for him to do. But friends do these kinds of things for each other.

    Barney is in the hands of a cacher that has never found a cache (must be a muggle) so there is not much chance of Barney continuing his journey. Thanks to all those who moved Barney a long and shared a beer.
