Howland

Howland Owl is a character in Walt Kelly's comic strip "Pogo". Along with Pogo Possum, Albert Alligator, Churchy la Femme, Porky Pine, and Beauregard de Montmingle Bugleboy, he is now a travel bug.

Howland is a bit bossy and occasionally hard to deal with, but as a friend he is beyond reproach.

Actually found this one in "Mount Rocksmore" which is only a tenth of a mile away in Lackawanna State park. It will come back with me to wolf country for a visit and then onward! I checked the NEW YORK box on the card in case it hadn't visited here yet (it will be logged into a "wolf pack" cache very soon)
