Noticed this GC has had a brief stay in Massachusetts. Hope this one will be longer but not too long. We've not cached in Quebec - only west and east of there.

Sorry to hear you want to part way. I left you in a Balboa Park near downtown San Diego, CA, USA. We have had a lot of great adventures together. Best of Luck on your future travels! Cache on! ReefPilot

Made it to YVR (Vancouver, BC). One of my favorite cities! Beautiful view over the harbor/Seaplane base from the hotel as I woke up at 6am PT (argh!) Out to grab the only 3 caches remaining in the area which I have not already found. (found all 3!) Great weather, 3.8 miles hike around the waterfront. Nap this afternoon, then 11:10pm departure for the redeye back to IAH. Commute home should have me at my house by 11am.

Checked you into a TB Resort in PIT (Pittsburgh, PA) for a very short layover. Did a little caching this morning. My 4.8 miles walk around the hotel was a lot more work then I was expecting as there is NO flat land around here. Always seem to be walking up or down. The roads in the area are not very pedestrian friends (no sidewalks!) A cache that is only .2 miles away on the GPS or Google map may be WAY more difficult to get to via foot. Anyways, 3 finds, 1 DNF. Off to IAH, then YVR tonight. I have 3 caches picked out for tomorrow. My September schedule doesn't look too geocaching friendly, so I hope to find the time to get my fix.

Well I usually report in from geocaching while I'm out on one of my trips. Well, today is no exception. I am on 4-day trip with a 32-hr layover in MSP. I was able to spend Friday night, Saturday and Saturday night at home. The day started off with my oldest son's soccer game. Later in the day my son and I went out with a fellow (NWA/DAL) pilot and his son for an afternoon of geocaching in Clearly Lake Park, in Prior Lake Minnesota. Another great MN park and lots of great caches. Had a great walk along the hiking trails and then along the winter cross-county ski trails. 8 great cache finds (and all of regular or larger size) Kids enjoyed! There were a few mosquito as there had recently been a lot of rain in the area. The big excitement of the afternoon was when my son and I decided to take a bike ride after our earlier geocaching. Along the bike trail the GPS was showing a geocache only a few hundred feed away. We decided to stop and get just one more cache (not realized at the time this cache was a multi). Parked our bikes and took the short venture into the woods. We came to GZ and found the hollow tree log where I could see, but not reach the container. I lifted up the tree log and started shaking. The cache container fell on the ground, but so did a huge swarm of bees. My son immediately started crying. I dropped the log and we both ran away towards our bikes. When we finally stopped, we were both in pain as he unfortunately received two bee stings, I received three. The first thing that went through my mind was the reactions that people can get from bee stings, especially multiple stings. It appears that we were both ok, so we rode the bike (and tag-along) straight back to the truck, loaded them up and went home. Great day of caching, with a not so great ending.
