Valjhun is participating in Tour de Slovenija 2025. The trackable with the greatest distance traveled until December 8, 2025 will win the race. Please, help it on the way from cache to cache, moving it as fast and as far away as possible. Any help you can provide is appreciated, even if you just move it around the next corner.

Valjhun was a count od Carantania in the late 8th century, known for his pro-german politics and violent Christianization of the pagan Slavs. He is one of the two main protagonists (or the main antagonist) in the Introduction part of the epic-lyric poem The Baptism on the Savica, written by the greatest Slovenian classical poet France Prešeren, published in 1836. The Introduction describes the final battle between Christians and pagan Slavs, in which the Slavs, led by the hero Črtomir, are defeated by Valjhun's army. In Slovenian culture, Valjhun is thus regarded as the ultimate bad guy. And we also have a craft brewery named after him.

Tour de Slovenija 2025 is a trackable race around Slovenia, organised by Slovenian Geocaching Club to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Geocaching. The race started on December 14, 2024, and will run until December 8, 2025. The racer with the greatest distance travelled will win.
