Went to New Orleans again during the Christmas season (2005). Progress has been made, but there is still a long way to go. One of the biggest changes since Thanksgiving, which unfortunately, I don't have a picture for, is that many of the large piles of junk have been picked up, and the area looks generally less cluttered. But there is still a LONG way to go.

FEMA CamperMany FEMA campers/trailers like this one have arrived and have been set up for people to live in. Trainloads of campers have continued from sometime in September until approximately the end of March, 2006. On December 20, I saw two southbound trains pass. And that doesn't represent many who were able to get campers from other sources. Only about half the campers we saw looked like the ones that came down on the train.
