Welcome to the Nerds #7 - Math Nerd Cache. This is the seventh in my "nerds" cache series placed around Arkabutla Lake.
I thought about making this a Mystery Cache involving lots of math. But then I figured.... math, combined with this area being off the beaten path. That may severely limit this cache's chance of being visited. So here you go, a simple traditional cache located in the woods.
I was one of those math nerd kids in school. I enjoyed Algebra & Geometry. I even went to the "Math Olympics" a few times. I sometimes pester my wife while shopping. She'll find a good buy and ask me how much it'll be if it's 60% off. I'll try to get her to do the math in her head, but that just makes her mad. She'd rather just whip out the iPhone calculator app.
I placed this cache on March 14, also known as Pi Day since it is 3.14! For this cache, you'll make a short hike down a bike/hiking trail in the Bayou Point Recreation Area of Arkabutla Lake. There is parking located nearby. This is a very nice area for a stroll in the woods, so go explore and take a nice hike after you grab the cache. You are looking for a small lock n' lock container. There is room for small trade items or trackables. Please make sure you reconnect the magnet in the container to the magnet on the structure, so the cache won't wash away.
