Geocache Description:

Knockbrex Viewpoint, overlooking Fleet Bay in the heart of Galloway, is located in a National Scenic Area. This cache is one of a series of five taking you to places where you can enjoy the magnificent views and splendour of the area.

Fleet Bay from Mossyard Shore

The Fleet Valley is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas in the South of Scotland yet it is often bypassed by tourists who trundle along the A75 to Stranraer and Cairnryan bound for Northern Ireland. This series of four caches will take you to locations which the local people have recently voted as being the best places to admire the views and experience the wildlife of the area.

Knockbrex Viewpoint has only recently been constructed and the path leading up to it upgraded. Parking is available at Carrick Shore and the short gentle ascent to the viewpoint is pleasant and undemanding.

You are looking for a black 35mm canister. Please replace it carefully in an upright position. Thank you.

Once you leave the A75, follow the signs for 'Borgue' then you will find that the road to the viewpoint car park is signposted clearly.
