Ganymede is the largest moon of the giant gas planet Jupiter and the largest moon in our solar system. It is slightly larger than the planet Mercury. Ganymede would have a relative size of 3/8 of an inch in diameter orbiting the 9.8 inch Jupiter at a distance of 6 feet away.

Jupiter has a total of 63 satellites, 4 of which are easily visible from earth under the right conditions. Jupiter is the 5th planet from the sun and the largest. A huge gas giant, Jupiter is the first of the outer planets. It has the mass of 318 earths combined. It is comprised primarily of hydrogen and helium.

To locate Ganymede, head West South West about 22 paces from Jupiter.
