About This Item

It's official designation has been 'US ARMY POCKET CAN OPENER' or 'OPENER, CAN, HAND, FOLDING, TYPE I', but it is more commonly know by its nickname the P-38 which it supposedly acquired from the 38 Punctures required to open a C-Ration can. It is also known by many as a "John Wayne" especially those in the Navy and Marines because in a WWII training film he was opening a can of C-Rations using a P-38, from then on Marines started referring to them as a "John Wayne".

Well we are headed for Johannesburg - a business stop, no time to cache, budget meetings, you know the scene. Maybe we can do a 'grab'. Travel well, we wish you the best.
