About This Item

Wally's Humor Geocoin

My dad (Wally) died in 2001 of cancer. His incredible sense of humor has been inherited by all of his children (and working its way into the next generation as well). Wally served in the Navy on the USS Shannon during the early 1950's so any Navy related anecdotes and/or pictures would be extra special!

I left this geocoin at the Cathair Con Ri Cache site on the Dingle Peninsula in southwest Ireland on Sept. 28, 2007. Geocache # GC13Y9W and included that in my log entry. The geocoin page still lists it as in my hands. What to do?

Found in "where eagles dare" cache in Killarney, Ireland. I live in Amesbury, MA and this was my first trip to Ireland. I told my wife upon finding it that it would be very ironic if we traveled all this was and found out that the geocoin originated from some place like Malden or Revere. Well come to find out I wasn't far off. Sorry I didn't know about the desire to get it back to the states as I left it in one of the more inaccessable caches in the region. It's high up in the Dingle peninsula at the castle Con Ri cache. Be sure to visit the site listing it has an interesting history and good pictures. Hope it gets back to you soon. So anyway here's a joke;

Joe bought a new 2007 Cadillac and returned to the dealer the next day
complaining that he couldn't figure out how the radio worked.
The salesman explained that the radio was voice activated.

"Watch this!_ he said, "Nelson"

The Radio replied, "Ricky or Willie?"
Willie", He continued and "On The Road Again" came from the speakers.

Then he said, "Ray Charles", and in an instant _Georgia On My Mind" replaced Willie Nelson.

Joe drove away happy, and for the next few days, every time he'd say,"Beethoven," he'd get beautiful classical music, and if he said, "Beatles," he'd get one of their awesome songs.

Yesterday, a couple ran a red light and nearly creamed Joe's new car, but he swerved in time to avoid them. Joe yelled, "Assholes!"

Immediately the French National Anthem began to play, sung by Jane Fonda and Barbra Streisand, backed up by Michael Moore and The Dixie Chicks, with John Kerry on guitar, Al Gore on drums, Dan Rather on harmonica, Nancy Pelosi on tambourine, Harry Reid on spoons, Bill Clinton on sax and Ted Kennedy on scotch.

Joe LOVES his new car.
