Fawley Owl
is a kind, helpful and cheerful little soul who is very inquisitive and loves
to meet children of all ages.
He was hatched
and hand-reared in 2002 by Fawley Infant Schools' Reception Class (now Year 2), who were between four
and five years of age. They took considerable time to train him and teach
him to be polite in the company of strangers. Following Fawley Owl's progress
around the country (or even the world!) is an excellent introduction for the
children into the use of computers, the Internet, and basic geography.
The class would
love to hear from other children who have found him and taken him to their school
to introduce him to their friends. If you have children of any age and find
Fawley Owl, please encourage your child to take him along to school and have
his picture taken with them.
If you would like
to visit the school's website, please click
here.
The children look
forward to watching his progress!

Found in a wood near the town Bergen, Holland.
We noticed this owl has already got quite some airmiles.
We'll find a nice new stash for him shortly. Meanwhile he can stay with us at home.

Pooh who lives in Amsterdam, wanted to show Fawley Owl a typical “Amsterdamse school” school.
So today Fawley Owl and pooh visited the primary school in Bergen, a little village in Holland. Unfortunately there were no children, because it was Sunday.
The school is special for its architectural design. It is built in the “Amsterdamse school” style.

Today I left the Fawley Owl in a GeoCache called Fatty Owls. (<-nice name)
On our way we’d made a little stop at AAP, “the sanctuary for exotic animals”, see also http://www.aap.nl/int_english/index.php
On this primacy there is a foundation called “Children’s Holliday Land”.
This accommodation is realised for children that can’t do holiday’s through war, problems at home etc.
Because it was Sunday, I didn’t have the change to make a picture of the children with your Owl, but instead I found an interesting replacement.
Best regards from Almere.
