Haig Diradourian 1

Haig was diagnosed with cancer in September 2009 when he was 21 years old.  Prior to that, he went 9 months undiagnosed because it was the last thing on anyone’s mind to check for when trying to figure out what was wrong with him. The doctors said he had only 2 weeks to live had he not been diagnosed.  Haig fought gallantly for 2 years.  Despite numerous rounds of chemo therapy and radiation, the aggressive cancer could not be destroyed.  On December 23, 2010, God called Haig home.  Up until the day before his passing, Haig didn’t want any morphine so that he could at the minimum say “Hi” to everyone who visited him at the hospital.  Haig was an Eagle Scout (Troop 288) and loved the outdoors.  His last job was being dropped by a helicopter with a team of 4 people in the middle of nowhere in Alaska to survey vegetations for weeks at a time.  He was a true mountain man.  He will always be forever loved and missed.
