This was actually the first cache I ever went to look for. Scored a DNF that day and on several later tries.

Well, it took me long enough! Fifth try!

This one has been at the top of my Closest to home list for quite some time. Of course once I found it, it was like....duh! Right where I looked at least a dozen times
Took Travel Bug, Left Blue Carabiner and a WheresGeorge Dollar (Hand marked with a sharpie since I forgot my stamp)

    5/1/03

Second visit this week. Still couldn't find it.

This time I took my eagle eyed 12 year old, who came home with big nettle welts all over her. I warned her to stay out of that patch

My Rino 120 was only giving me 85 foot accuracy, but we beat those bushes for quite some time and didn't find anything.

Well, finally found it! It took me enough tries. Actually I cheated, I took along two extra pair of eyes. My 16 year old walked right to it just like she knew where it was. She found it while I was still waiting for the GPS to settle down! I think I'll take her more often. Whats weird is just like several others had noted, I had searched that location several times on previous visits and found nothing!

Took Plastic Cat (the 16 year olds choice since she found it), and left a Carabiner Keychain and a WheresGeorge Dollar.

I decided to try this one at Lunch time since it is fairly close to work. Bad idea, at least today. There was a group holding an event right where my Rino 120 told me the first waypoint was.
I came back after work and looked around for about half an hour without luck. I'm fairly new at this, and I didn't have a lot of time.

    I'll be back later.

Found Waypoint 1 on 5/2/03. Looked around a bit for Waypoint 2, no luck but only had a couple minutes. I'll be back!

Update: I've found waypoints 1 and 2 now, just gotta find that final cache location. Like Arnold says..... I'll be back!

Lots of gremlins and trolls around today, including a couple of small ones that were beating the bushes around the cache site with sticks. They don't appear to have found it, yet.

Once they finally moved on, I was able to retreive the cache. Darn it..... no pen, so I couldn't sign the log (Left a card instead).

Took Nothing, Left Flag Lapel Pen and WheresGeorge Dollar

Ok, I saw this go active this morning and almost left work to go get it . Instead I waited until lunch and missed getting firsties.
Took Flag Lapel Pin, Left Eagle Keychain/Penknife.

    5/16/03

I saw a new one show up so to see if I could get firsties I headed out to the cache site. I found Evergreen Hiker already there searching. After searching for a while, lunch hour was just about over, I headed back to the office dissapointed at not finding it.

Now I see the cache is marked as unavailable, so that explains the no-find

Dispite the fact that the GPS wouldn't get me any closer than 200 feet, we seemed to have no problem finding this one. We found it basically in one of the first places we looked.

Took Polished Rock, Left Wooden Chicken Nickel and wheresgeorge dollar.
