Hi, I'm Mr. Blobby. You might remember me from BBC’s "Noel Edmonds' House Party". I was really a hit in 1993. I had a No.1 single, starred in my own weekly TV slot, and made millions out of numerous merchandising opportunities. But fame and fortune were not my thing. I want to travel.
I have been living in Everson Washington since the mid 90's with Peter and Ann Simmons. In this time I was able to do some traveling with Peter and Ann, but not as much traveling as I would have liked.
A couple years ago, I was kidnapped and got a taste of adventure, but eventually I was returned to my home in Everson. Recently I was kidnapped again by an unknown assailant (Marcia’s Aunt). But I escaped her evil clutches and was last seen at SeaTac Airport, (Seattle WA) in the Alaska Airlines Terminal.
The Joke: Peter and Ann Simmons are the Parents of Marcia Stedman. Marcia and her husband Steve Stedman are active Geocachers, and came up with the plan to let Mr Blobby travel. Steve and Marcia were involved in my original kidnapping. This turned out to be a great joke in the family. It was unbelievable how long the kidnapping joke lasted.
Since my escape, I have decided to take advantage of my freedom, to see the sights, travel the world, and meet interesting people. With the help of my Geocaching friends, we have come up with a plan for me to see the world, and to keep Peter and Ann guessing as to how I am traveling (they don't know anything about Travel Bugs).
Please send a photograph of Mr Blobby as he travels to Peter and Ann Simmons. Their address is:
Peter and Ann Simmons
3725 Sinclair Drive
Ferndale WA 98248
USA
Please follow a couple simple rules:
1. Please don’t mention anything about Geocaching, or any of the Geocachers involved.
2. Please send a postcard from Mr Blobby or photograph of Mr Blobby to his home.
3. Do not include a return address , this may lead to Peter and Ann finding out more than they need to know on this joke.
4. Log your journey on the Geocaching.com website.
Some places that Mr Blobby has always wanted to see:
- Colchester England - Fiji - Greece - Hawaii (any island)
Mr Blobbys interests

- I might even like to see the Olympics.
If you find Mr Blobby, please check to see if the address he is carrying matches this new address, and update if necessary:
