Flash Mob Cache Event FLAG PLEDGE STYLE

A Flash Mob Gathering of Geocachers. Only 15 minutes long! You MUST be present and sign the log sheet DURING this time to claim the event.

The event will last exactly 15 minutes, not one second longer.

The event will begin precisely at HIGH NOON on Sunday, May 20th. The event will be held at THE FLAGPOLE AT HIERS PARK, HUNTINGTON, INDIANA. The event will be highly organized and facilitated by volunteers. We will have printed copies of this ultra-precise itinerary distributed at the event.
At exactly NOON (as determined by the GPS clock)EARTHDOG PATRICK your host, will place a bucket full of nice, new swag at the coordinates. We will place a small RADIO on the ground near the bucket to play some FUNK HARDROCK COUNTRY music. One volunteer will hand out "log sheets". Participants will sign the log sheets (which will later become a log book), to qualify for attendance and drop them in a designated collection box. Bring a pen. Participants may trade swag via the swag bucket at any time. We encourage you to bring swag to trade.

At a designated time, we will toss out Peanuts in the Shell to all in attendance for the event "meal".
At a designated time, we will all line up and salute the Flag and recite the Pledge of Allegence.

At a designated time, we will take a group photo.

At precisely 12:15 the bucket, and the log sheets will be packed up and sealed away. The event area will be vacated without a trace.  Events that happen after 12:15:01 do not count as part of THIS event.

Only those participants whose names appear on the log sheets may log the event online. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Note: Although participants are welcome to get together for FELLOWHIP AND FOOD after the event, The event will officially be over at 12:15. At LUNCH, participants may chat, meet, eat and plan for a day of caching

There probably will be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I just see? What just happened?"

Flash Mob Event Schedule
HUNTINGTON, INDIANA
May 20, 2007 12:00noon
Hiers Park

11:45 - 11:59 Mill about and mosey. Be nonchalant and casual. Look like a muggle. Don't look like a gathering waiting to happen. Mosey as realistically as you can. This is part of the fun. We will seem to appear out of no-where.
12:00 LEAD DOG will blow the whistle and walk to ground zero with a bucket of swag and log sheets. This is the signal that the event has begun!
12:00 - 12:06 Mingle. Shake hands. Give the Geocaching secret Salute to each other. Share stories. Brag. Trade swag. You should take some swag, you don’t have to trade for it. Take pictures. Sign the log sheets and place them in the bucket. CITO the local area!
12:06 Delicious meal of Peanuts will be distributed.
12:08 Line up facing the Flag, remove your covers, place them over your heart with your right hand and Pledge Allegance to the Flag..
12:11 Assemble for the Group photo.
12:14 One minute warning is called-- "It is now 9:14!" Prep to leave, but don't "look" like you are prepping. (You might want to "secretly" organize where you will re-form after dispersal.)
12:15 EXACTLY Whistle will be blown. Wait for it ... then LEAVE the area (right at 12:15 in a disorderly manner / different directions) and meet elsewhere if desired. The bucket of swag will be packed up We will leave the area to go ... elsewhere.
