If you are arriving after dusk, especially to join us for the
evening fun, please call the Ranger Station at 863-386-6094 early
and get the access code for the day that allows you into the
campground area. Just tell the Ranger you are attending the
geocaching event being held in the Park.
Join us for a unique 'Unbirthday' celebration. Goofy
celebrates her birth in January, but there are eleven other
months chaulked full of birthdays of all kinds we would like to
celebrate with you together at this event and over this fun filled
weekend.
We invite you to meet us at
Highland Hammock State Park at 9:30 am sharp, at
which time all cachers will be split into teams. (The coordinates
given on the cache page are for the entrance to the camping area in
the park. This is only our meeting place and the exact meeting
place coordinates will be given soon) Those teams have a challenge
..... a scavenger hunt with a specific purpose.
No, we can't tell you, we'd have to shoot you!
NO CHEATING is allowed, which takes us to the 2 difficulty
rating!

Each team will need at least one digital
picture taking apparatus as well as a mode of transportation to do
the challenge, so each of you need to please come prepared. A full
tank of gas would also help you out. If you would like to sit for
the awards and raffle at the end of the challenge, please bring
along your lawn chair.
GoofyButterfly and others will be camping at the Hammocks for
the weekend, and invite any that can partake to do the same. For
those of you needing accomodations and not choosing to camp, please
email us and we would be happy to help with a list.
Rangers Peter and Jeanie have informed us that this is a VERY
busy season for this campground, and strongly suggest booking ASAP,
as sites are limited and go quickly. Just
follow State Park link above which will get you to the website
needed for 'camping and lodging', The camp reservations link can be
found there.
Highland Hammock allows two tents, two vehicles and 8 people per
site. Leashed Pets are allowed, please read rules on the park's
website carefully.
